Here is a guide to holidays in and transport to Corsica. |
|
There are more and more airlines flying direct from the UK now as well as from Germany, Holland and France. There are also many indirect ways to get to Corsica that may suit travellers from the USA, Canada and the Asia Pacific region. |
Why not relax and take the ferry? There are boats from Marseille and Nice in France, as well as Genoa, Savona and Livorno in Italy. If you are visiting Corsica out of season, this may be your best way of getting here. |
The holiday companies are now offering great ways to holiday in Corsica. Hopefully we can help you decide what kind of holiday suits you so that you can get the most out of your visit. |
If you are
making your own way to Corsica, you’ll need to
find somewhere to stay. In this page we list a number of villas, apartments and
small hotels for you to browse.

You may think sustainable tourism is all about fragile environments like the Galapagos Islands. Well this island of Corsica deserves respect, too. You may have noticed on other pages of Corsica Isula that we stress its endemic values and attributes. Sustainable tourism is important in Corsica now and for the future. But what is sustainable tourism, you ask. Sustainable tourism is about making a positive difference when we travel …
Enjoying ourselves and taking responsibility for our actions - respecting local cultures and the natural environment;
Giving fair economic returns to local families - helping to spread the benefit of our visit to those who need it most;
Recognising that often water and energy are precious resources that we need to use carefully;
Helping to protect endangered wildlife and preserve the natural and cultural heritage of the places we visit;
Protecting and enhancing favourite destinations for the future enjoyment of visitors and the people who live there.

The European Centre for Ecological & Agricultural Tourism is doing good work, but as yet France has no membership.
If you want to do something about the carbon emissions generated during your journey to Corsica why not make a donation to www.treesforlife.org.uk . This charity allows you to offset the carbon dioxide emitted during your flight. There are other similar schemes but this one is a not-for-profit organisation.
Thank you!
